New London - Library/Tickets
The SUBASE Library and Tickets program, both in one facility – is a true favorite with all visitors and patrons at SUBASE. We have many resources available for sailors and their family members including over 2,000 DVDs, more than 14,000 books and over 250 videogames for the PS4, PS5, XBOX One, and the Nintendo Switch. We also have STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) kits, as well as board games available to check out. The Library even offers museum passes to locations in our immediate area such as the Niantic Children’s Museum, Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Connecticut State Park Pass and many more!
This MWR facility is open to Active-duty personnel, Reservists, Retirees, Dependents, Veterans, DoD civilians, and Contractors with valid ID & base access.
SUBASE Library is known for its wide variety of programs for all ages, including the Summer Reading Program, United Through Reading, storytimes and so much more. The Library has two more spaces, the conference room and multi-purpose room, which are great for FRGs, training, homeschool meet-ups, meetings and many Library programs and events. - Books on the CNO’s Reading List, SUBASE Leadership Reading List and other Professional Military Education (PME) materials
- InterLibrary Loan – if we don’t have it, we can get it! – allow 1-2 weeks for delivery
- Children’s Room, with a great collection of books, toys, and board games – a fun place for families to spend time
- Large collections of Young Adult books, graphic novels, and manga
- Study Guides for CLEP, SAT, ACT, ASVAB, etc
- Free Wi-fi, printing, scanning, faxing from our provided computers or your own device
- Comfortable, mobile seating and tables for BYO device, easy to use and quiet space for your work and study needs
- Videogame consoles available for use in library
- DoDMWRLibraries.org – FREE databases, including ebooks, e-audiobooks, classes, magazines, newspapers, music, films and much more

The SUBASE Tickets program, with over 1,000 tickets available to purchase. Whether you are purchasing tickets in person or over the phone, we can meet your ticketing needs.
This MWR facility is open to Active-duty personnel, Reservists, Retirees, Dependents, Veterans, DoD civilians, and Contractors with valid ID & base access. MWR has gone cashless, all major credit cards are accepted including the NEW Military Star Card.
Tickets is your gateway to information for MWR New London, and our beautiful region of southern New England. We sell discounted tickets for Regal Cinemas, Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, and other selected attractions, either visit us in person, or give us a call to purchase these tickets. There is also information for DIY trips for local attractions and museums. *Please note that some tickets require an in-person visit per vendor specifications.*
